One way we achieve this goal is through our multi-disciplinary cancer conferences, which bring together skills of the medical community you need to focus on your cancer care. These treatment teams, which include both medical and radiation oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists and other specialists, are organized to discuss our patients’ type and stage of disease and to formulate the most appropriate, individualized treatment care plans. Our patients may be treated by many different specialists for various aspects of his or her disease.
