JANICE HOPKINS, CFNP

Janice Hopkins, our Cancer Services Coordinator, is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Oncology and a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner, who received her graduate and post-graduate training from Emory University. She plays a unique role with cancer patients, following them through all phases of care from their initial diagnosis through their treatment. She works in collaboration with the Harbin Clinic Cancer Services medical staff to provide coordination and integration of care. This model of collaborative practice allows for improved continuity and access to care for all patients at the Cancer Services. Her primary role is to provide patient-centered care. Janice serves as an entry point for patients into the cancer care system and she provides information, communication and education, as well as, coordination of care and community referrals.

ANN HOOK, RN, BSN

Ann Hook, R.N., B.S.N., is our Cancer Nurse Navigator. Ms. Hook is available to assist cancer patients and their caregivers through the continuum of care with the development and utilization of education, financial and supportive resources. She provides the community with health education and community outreach services.

Ms. Hook has over 13 years experience in Women’s Health, including 10 years as a staff nurse in Labor and Delivery. Most recently, she served as a Community Outreach Educator for Women’s Health at Floyd Medical Center. Ms. Hook received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She also received certification as a Cancer Nurse Navigator in 2004 through the Georgia Cancer Coalition and Georgia Highlands Nursing Program. Ms. Hook is an active member of the Healthy Living Coalition in our community. She is an active volunteer with the American Cancer Society.
