Alan L. Bowen, M.D.


Dr. Bowen joined Harbin Clinic in 1980. He received his Medical Doctorate degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed his undergraduate education at Mercer University in Macon, Ga. Dr. Bowen completed a residency at Georgia Baptist Hospital and Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the Medical Association of Georgia, Floyd-Polk-Chattooga Medical Society and American Medical Association. Dr. Bowen’s practice focuses on general orthopaedics, adult reconstructive surgery, sports medicine and total joint replacement.



Darrell G. Lowrey, M.D.


Dr. Lowrey joined Harbin Clinic in 1984. He received his Medical Doctorate degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Georgia in Athens. Dr. Lowrey completed a residency at the University of Louisville Hospitals in Kentucky and completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Hughston Orthopaedic Clinic in Columbus, Ga. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Sports Medicine and team physician for Rome Braves, Shorter College and Darlington School. Dr. Lowrey’s practice focuses on sports medicine with emphasis on knees and shoulders.




Stephen C. Klasson, M.D.


Dr. Klasson joined Harbin Clinic in 1993. He received his Medical Doctorate degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tenn. He completed his undergraduate education at Duke University in Durham, N.C. Dr. Klasson completed a residency at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at the Arkansas Hand and Microsurgery Center. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery with a certificate of added qualifications in Surgery of the Hand. He is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Klasson’s practice focuses on hand and elbow surgery.






Frank G. Russo-Alesi, M.D.

Dr. Russo-Alesi joined Harbin Clinic in 1996. He received his Medical Doctorate degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed his undergraduate education at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Ga. Dr. Russo-Alesi completed a residency at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville and completed a fellowship in Foot & Ankle Surgery in Cincinnati, OH. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society, Georgia Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society and has served on the board of the Georgia Orthopaedic Society from 2004-2006. Dr. Russo-Alesi’s practice focuses on the advanced care of adult and adolescent foot and ankle problems. He also specializes in sports-related foot and ankle injuries. Treatments include arthoscopy, trauma, fractures, bunions, hammer toes, neuromas, tendonitis, tumors and cysts and work related injuries of the foot and ankle. He also performs advanced reconstruction, total ankle replacement, and laser therapy for certain foot and ankle problems. In addition to his foot and ankle specialty, he also treats general afflictions of the upper and lower extremity to include fractures and knee arthroscopy.




Randall M. Anderson, Jr., M.D.


Dr. Anderson joined Harbin Clinic in 2002. He received his Medical Doctorate degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. He completed his undergraduate education at Princeton University in Princeton, N.J. Dr. Anderson completed a residency at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, S.C. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Anderson’s practice focuses on general orthopaedics, sports medicine and total joint replacement of the hip and knee, including the use of computer navigation.




Christopher Piller, M.D.


Dr. Piller joined Harbin Clinic in 2004. He received his Medical Doctorate degree from Duke University in Durham, N.C. He completed his undergraduate education at Hobart College in Geneva, N.Y. Dr. Piller completed a residency at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester in Rochester, N.Y. and completed a fellowship in Arthroscopic Surgery & Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Al. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Prior to joining Harbin Clinic, he served as Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Maxwell Air Force Base. Dr. Piller is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Orthopaedics Society of Sports Medicine, American Medical Association, Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons and Georgia Orthopaedic Society. Dr. Piller’s practice focuses on general orthopaedics, sports medicine and joint replacement of the shoulder, hip and knee.





Brandon Bushnell, M.D.


Dr. Brandon Bushnell joined the Harbin Clinic in 2009. A native of Athens, Georgia, he graduated with highest honors from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, with a degree in Religious Studies and also studied Spanish history and language at the University of Madrid, Spain. He earned his Medical Doctorate degree at the Medical College of Georgia, where he was class president and president of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He then completed an Orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where he participated in the care of the Tar Heel athletic teams and served as team physician for Chapel Hill High School. Dr. Bushnell completed a fellowship at the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic in Denver, Colorado, where he was an assistant team physician for the Colorado Rockies and the Denver Broncos. His professional interests include general Orthopaedics with a focus on sports medicine. He has published over twenty articles in the orthopaedic literature, authored several textbook chapters and presented his research at multiple national and international professional meetings.




Chad Wagner M.D. 



Dr. Chad Wagner joined the Harbin Clinic in 2010. A native of Marietta, GA, Dr. Wagner graduated from Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC with a degree in History. He completed medical school at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston Salem, NC. Dr. Wagner completed his Family Medicine residency and Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC, where he served as team physician for Parkland High School, the Winston Salem Warthogs Class A baseball team, and assistant team physician for Wake Forest University and Winston Salem State University athletic teams. Prior to joining the Harbin Clinic, Dr. Wagner was in private practice in Winston Salem, NC. He is board certified in Family Medicine and Primary Care Sports Medicine by the American Board of Family medicine, and is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Family Practice, and American College of Sports Medicine. Dr. Wagner specializes in the non-operative management of orthopaedic and sports medicine injuries. He has special interest in sports concussion management, shoulder injuries in throwing athletes, and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
