To Refer a Patient

An appointment is not required (with the exception of Glucose Tolerance Tests). A patient must have a written order or requistion with them whenthey come to the laboratory. Diagnosis codes must be on the order.

After Hours/Emergencies

STAT tests are handled with necessary priority and results can be telephoned or faxed, as indicated. After hours, if necessary, patients should be referred to the emergency department of an area hospital or urgent care center.
