The Vitality Fitness Center of Harbin Clinic opened its doors to the public in 1994. The facility is complete with great exercise amenities like lockers, showers and towel-service. The facility has expanded twice to accommodate the overwhelming response from the public for a non-intimidating and comfortable atmosphere. Our members range in age from 14 to 95, with an average age of 45.
The Vitality Wellness Center offers an all-inclusive membership that includes a fully functional gym and the following classes:
Arthritis Exercise: Designed by the American Arthritis Foundation, this class provides safe and effective exercises for people with arthritis. This class is open to all members and all ability levels.
Cycling: Indoor cycling class with added core strengthening (60 minutes)
Ball Room Dancing: Exercise with the basic steps of Salsa, Swing, Meringue, Waltz, Cha-Cha, Rhumba, Samba, Two-Step and much more (50 minutes)
Body Therapy: Blends yoga, pilates and ballet based exercises to alleviate discomfort in the lower back. These exercises release pressure in the lumbar spine, help maintain spinal range of motion and develop abdominal strength to support the lower back (45 minutes)
Boot Camp/Cardio Fitness: A high intensity class that incorporates aerobic and anaerobic exercises; this ultimate circuit workout combines power,functional strength patterns and easy cardio moves for a peak workout experience (60 minutes)
Boot Camp/Amy: This 8 week program is designed to build strength and fitness through a variety of intense group intervals over a one hour period of time. The class is geared to produce loss of body fat, increase cardiovascular efficiency, increase strength, and help instill a regular routine of exercise. (Class will be outdoors at times)
Butts and Guts: A 30 minute class that will strenghten and tone the abdominal and gluteal muscles by using body weight for resistance and strength training equipment (weights, tubing, stability balls, etc.) through a series of challenging exercises.
Circuit/Cross Training: This high intensity class targets strength building and muscular endurance. The circuit workout combines power and functional strength patterns, and easy cardio moves for a peak workout experience. 3 circuits are completed as time allows.
Cross Fire: A functional training based workout that will keep your body guessing and increase your overall fitness. The class progresses through high intensity cardio intervals intertwined with strength training segments. Cross Fire utilizes barbells and hand held weights and can be adapted to any exercise level.
Every Body Move: This is a strength training class for novice participants. Modifications to the exercises are offered for all fitness levels. Rediscover how good the body feels in motion.
Flexibility: Total body stretching class which helps with increased range of motion to the muscles and tendons (30 minutes)
Hiking: Explore the wilderness around Rome on one of these hour long hiking sessions. Please call Brian at 706-238-2225 to see where this weeks Hiking session is starting from.
Kickboxing: High intensity aerobic workout using kickboxing bags (45-60 minutes)
Lunch Crunch: This class is the instructors choice, meaning that it is always a fresh class and never the same old thing!
MTS: 12 week weight training period guiding you through more than 40 workouts and three levels of fitnes (with nutrition and healthy eating tips)-building endurance, muscle and strength
Pink Physique: An innovative workout program that combines isometric exercises and orthopaedic stretches to systematically lengthen and sculpt your muscles and create a beautiful, lean body. Pink Physique classes use your body's own weight as resistance, and through dynamic exercises, your muscles are targeted and overloaded to the point of fatigue, then stretched for relief.
Rep Reebok: Weight training class which utilizes barbells and dumbbells of varying sizes to strengthen and tone the entire body (60 minutes)
R.I.P.P.E.D.: Total body, high intensity program using free weights, resistance and body weight; combines components of R.I.P.P.E.D.-Resistance, Intervals, Power, Polymetrics, Endurance and Diet suggestions
Shadow Boxing: Combination of punces and kicks while gaining kinesthetic cardio, strength, improved endurance and muscle tone benefits; great core workout that does not require gloves or specialized boxing equipment
Senior Strength Training: Fun Seniors class that includes aerobic warm-up, light aerobic workout, strength training of major muscle groups and cool down stretches; use of dumbbells and resistance bands will increase strength and help maintain balance (45-60 minutes)
Stress Reduction: Theory and practice of techniques which identify sources of tension, and methodsto help alleviate them; emphasis on breathing and stretching.
Walking with Brian: A brisk walk through Summerville Park neighborhood is a great way to spend your afternoon break.
Beginner's Yoga: Novice yoga class that introduces basics of yoga techniques. Gentle repetitive yoga poses to equip you for the natural unassisted flow of Advanced Yoga (60 minutes)
Yoga: Takes you through classic yoga postures linked together with breathing, strength and stretching to facilitate emotional and mental wellness (60 minutes)
Zumba: Cardio-based workout with sculpting exercises to tone from top to bottom, inspired by Latin music and dance steps
